Privacy Policy

This website is run by Sophie Lockley, trading as The Rise With Sophie. If you want to ask about anything on this page, or about information you have shared, email sophie_lockley@outlook.com.

This website has no accounts, no logins, and no tracking of its own. Sophie collects nothing about you simply for reading a page. Information is only collected when you choose to type it into one of the two forms, or when you book a call through the booking calendar. Two pages also show content from another company inside a frame — the booking calendar and the social wall — and those are described below.

On the contact page, this form asks for your name, your email address and a message — all three are needed so Sophie can reply. You can also choose what you would like support with, which is optional. There is a tick box confirming you are happy for Sophie to reply to you by email.

This form asks for your name and email address, which are needed so Sophie can let you know when group details are confirmed. Everything else is optional: your phone number, a preferred Friday time, what you would most like support with, and any questions or comments. There is a separate optional tick box for whether you are happy to be emailed when group coaching details are announced.

Registering interest does not commit you to anything, and leaving that box unticked does not stop you registering.

The forms on this website deliberately do not ask for health information, and you are asked not to include medical detail in them. Please keep your message general — there is no need to describe your health to get in touch.

Anything more detailed is only discussed once you have chosen to work with Sophie, separately from this website.

The booking calendar on the contact page is provided by Calendly and runs inside a frame on the page. When you book, the details you enter go to Calendly, which passes the booking to Sophie and sends the confirmation email. Calendly handles that information under Calendly’s privacy notice.

Because the calendar is loaded from Calendly, opening the contact page means your browser contacts Calendly’s servers, which involves your IP address and browser information. That happens whether or not you go on to book.

The social wall page shows Sophie’s recent social media posts. They are gathered and displayed by a service called Juicer, and appear inside a frame on the page rather than being stored on this website.

Because the posts are loaded from Juicer, opening that page means your browser contacts Juicer’s servers, which involves your IP address and browser information. That happens whether or not you click on anything. Juicer also records that the feed was viewed, and runs a performance monitoring service inside its own frame. Juicer handles that information under Juicer’s privacy policy.

Nothing you do on that page is collected by this website, and none of it reaches Sophie. If you would rather not load it, you can see the same posts by visiting Sophie’s Instagram directly.

Four services are involved in running this website. Sophie uses no advertising networks, no analytics providers and no data brokers. Your information is not sold, and it is not shared with advertisers.

Once a form or booking reaches Sophie, it sits in her email inbox and calendar, and is used only to reply to you and to arrange coaching.

Each of these services runs its own systems and handles information under its own privacy terms, linked above.

Enquiries and bookings are kept for as long as they are needed — to reply to you, to arrange coaching, and to keep a sensible record of your contact with Sophie if you go on to work with her. They are not kept for any other purpose.

If you would like yours removed sooner, you can ask at any time by emailing sophie_lockley@outlook.com.

This website does not set any cookies of its own and does not store anything in your browser. The booking calendar and the social wall are the exceptions, because they are loaded from Calendly and Juicer. The Cookie Policy explains this in full.

Under UK data protection law you can ask to see the information held about you, ask for it to be corrected, ask for it to be deleted, or object to it being used. To do any of those, email sophie_lockley@outlook.com.

If you are unhappy with how your information has been handled, you can raise it with the Information Commissioner’s Office, the UK’s data protection regulator, at ico.org.uk.

This website links to Instagram, and the booking calendar, the social wall and the forms are provided by the services named above. Once you are on someone else’s website or service, their privacy terms apply rather than this page.
